How It Works

The Agriplanter allows automatic planting of many crops such as: cabbage, celery, tomatoes, onions, fennel, peppers, and more. The Agriplanter provides a constant flow of plants and can handle both plastic and Styrofoam (EPS) trays.

The robot removes the plants from the tray and places them on the “sensorhead.” This sensorhead consists of a conveyor belt with a selector which ensures the empty lockers fall down and that only clumps of plants pass through to the hedgehog bands.

These vertical hedgehog bands transport the plants from the sensorhead to the plant element. The rubber discs of the plant element then turn the plants in the right direction. Plants are then placed at the correct depth as the press wheels pack soil around them. This pressure is infinitely adjustable even while ‘on the go’.

All this allows an optimal and fast-root growth of young plants. The Agriplanter has already proven its usefulness in many regions worldwide, as well as significantly reduce labor costs. Learn more at Agriplanter.com.
